Photo Contest
Winterfest is accepting Entries for the 2012 Winterfest Photography Contest December 17 through January 13, 2012. Entries are accepted until 5:00 pm on January 13^th at the Tri-Cities Historical Museum Akeley Building, 200 Washington Ave., Grand Haven.  Sponsored by the Tri-Cities Historical Museum.  Entry forms can be picked up at the Tri-Cities Historical Museum or downloaded online from the Event Forms & Rule Page.

Poster Contest
Entries for the Winterfest poster contest in various youth age categories and adult amateur and adult professional categories are being accepted January 9th – 20th, 2012.  Entries are accepted until 5:00 p.m. at the Tri-Cities Historical Museum Akeley Building, 200 Washington Ave., Grand Haven.  A list of rules is available on the Event Forms & Rules Page and at the Grand Haven Area Convention and Visitor’s Bureau.

Winterfest Pass
One ticket gets you into the Wintefest Luau Tent on Saturday as well as discounts at local bars, restaurants, shops, and more! Passes are on sale at many locations in the Grand Haven area. For a list of participating businesses and more information visit the Winterfest Pass Page.

Glow-Bowl at Mulligan’s Hollow
4:00 pm – 8:00 pm
$5.00 gets you a lift ticket for the kick-off event of Winterfest. Weather permitting.

Art Reception
6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
The Tri-Cities Historical Museum Akeley Building, 200 Washington Ave., Grand Haven.  Celebrate West Michigan talent and view works of the 2012 Winterfest Photography and Poster Contest participants.  Award winners will be announced.  All are welcome to attend.  Refreshments, provided by Co-Sponsor 22 Below, will be served.  Call the Tri-Cities Historical Museum at (616) 842-0700 for more information.

Intergalactic Human Sled Race
Registration begins at 7:00 pm. Races begin at 8:00 PM.
Get your team of six (4 Pullers, 1 Musher, 1 Rider) and cruise down First Street in Downtown Grand Haven in Winterfest style. Registration is free and the sleds are provided. For more information visit the Event Forms & Rules Page.

Family Dog Pull
Registration at 9:00 am. Races from 9:30 am – 11:00 am at Mulligan’s Hollow.
Gear up for the most fun that you can have with a saucer sled and a four-legged friend.

Cardboard Sled Race
Registration: 10:00 am. Sled Judging: 10:30 am. Races begin: 11:00 am at Mulligan’s Hollow. Build a cardboard sled and race it down the snowy hill at Mulligan’s Hollow.  Sleds must pass inspection to participate. Euchre Tournament

Winterfest Luau Extravaganza
That’s right! Once again, we’re having a luau in the middle of winter! The heated tent opens at 7:00 pm. Enjoy conga lines, palm trees, tropical beverages, beer, and more! Sons of Beaches will be playing tropical music from 8:00 pm – midnight. Put on your best Hawaiian shirt and bust out the Parrot Head paraphernalia because we’ll have prizes for the best dressed. No matter how cold it is outside, it will be hot inside! Coat check available.  A Winterfest Pass is required for entry and are available for purchase at the door. You must be 21 years or older with a valid ID to enter.
